Q: If I cancel, do I get a refund?
A:
You will receive a full refund if the tickets have not already been purchased. In order to get the best rates, the tickets are usually ordered beforehand, if possible. If the tickets have already been purchased, ECI will refund any other fees possible.

Q: Can I stay in a hotel instead of with a host family?
A:
Yes. If you want to stay in a hotel, you are responsible for the cost of the hotel and any meals, which the host family would have provided for you. ECI encourages you to stay with a host family because you will have a chance to practice English, experience the culture, and make new friends. You will not have a lot of time with the host family, because you will be very busy.

Q: What else do I have to pay for while on the trip?
A:
The fee that you pay covers most of your costs. You will need to pay for a few meals while on the road and maybe one or two while at your destination. The host family will provide some of the meals, and ECI will pay for special dinners. Sunday will always be a special day and the church will provide a nice lunch.

Q: Why do we go to church on Sunday?
A:
Churches in the United States are always very helpful when working with international students. ECI has relationships with churches in various locations, and they love to host internationals. Since you will stay with people that attend the same church, it is respectful to attend church with them. If you do not, you might offend them. It also gives students an opportunity to hear about the values and beliefs of Judeo-Christians. This is important because Judeo-Christianity is very strong in the American culture, so attending church will help you understand the way many Americans think, and even give you a better understanding of the legal system in the United States.
