Dallas, the number one visitor destination in Texas, offers big-city charm, along with rolling prarie and starlit nights. The TRIP tour starts off with a visit to the Dallas Galleria, a three-level shopping mall under a glass barrel vault atrium. The mall contains more than 200 world class stores, a hotel, 28 restaurants and eateries, and, for those who do not like to shop, it has an ice skating rink inside.
The next day, enjoy a trip to the famous Southfork Ranch. This ranch was home to the television show Dallas, which ran for thirteen years and filmed 356 episodes. With the help of a tour guide, you will explore the house where the show was filmed. In the evening, you will dine in a rotating restaurant atop a 55-story tower. The elevator reaches the top in 68 seconds, and the top makes one rotation every 55 minutes. You will have a full-course meal, with a beautiful view of Dallas. If you are not afraid of heights, you can also go out on to the balcony to get a closer view.
On Saturday, you will enjoy a day at Six Flags over Texas, part of a famous chain of amusement parks all over the United States. Here, you will find everything from roller coasters to live entertainment. In the evening, after the park, you will enjoy a classical evening listening to the Dallas Symphony. Sunday will be a day designated to attend your host family's church and meet new friends. You will enjoy a nice lunch with the church after the morning service.
